A Little History About The Pointe:
The Pointe at Lake Gaston opened in May of
2011, with a bang at Morningstar Marinas. The restaurant opened in
what used to be “The 903 Grill”. Most people remember “The 903
Grill”. Most people remember "The 903 Grill" as the convenience
store that served breakfast and lunch and offered a place for you to
feed the fish. However, owners Chad
Barbour and Randall Robinson, who are in real estate on Lake Gaston,
saw the potential of this little convenience store and grill and
recognized the need the area had for casual waterfront dining and
live entertainment with a full Tiki Bar that is accessible by boat.
So in late February of 2011, the men got to work renovating and
transforming the space into The Pointe at Lake Gaston!
The Pointe will be open 7 days a week starting April 1st through September, serving lunch, dinner, happy hour at the Tiki Bar, and appetizers! We also are offering weekly entertainment from May until September on every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday Night! A full schedule of events can be found under the events tab to your left. We offer an inviting, casual atmosphere for Lake Gaston natives and tourists alike to dine with us for waterfront lunch or dinner, or dance the night away with cocktails to some of our live entertainment!
